Antalya is the largest city and year round holiday resort on the Turkish Mediterranean coast. Antalya gulf is surrounded by the Taurus mountain ranging at the North and offers over 200 km of beaches, coves, bays, valleys, forests to explore and enjoy.

The City itself is well worth exploring with its award winning modern marina, the enchanting narrow winding streets of the old quarter (Kaleci) surrounded by Roman walls and the Antalya Museum.

The region around Antalya are also well worth a visit: The resorts of Kemer, Beldibi, Belek, Kalkan, Kas, Side and Alanya are all within easy reach of the city as are the exquisite waterfalls of Manavgat and Kursunlu.

Because of the archaeological and natural heritage of the area, Antalya is also known as the Turkish Riviera. The sun, sea, nature and history combine to form a very popular resort, highlighted by some of the cleanest beaches in the Mediterranean.

The 630 km shoreline of the province is liberally scattered with ancient cities, harbours, memorial tombs and beaches, secluded coves and lush forests, many of which are easily accessible from the city. During your holiday you can visit the birthplace of Santa Clause in Kas as well as the ancient cities of Perge and Aspendos.

Antalya is a major tourist centre in Turkey. In addition to the wide selection of hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops, the city also hosts quite a number of sporting events throughout the year, like international beach volleyball championship, triathlon, golf tournaments, archery, tenis, moto cross and canoeing competitions. The Cultural Centre hosts cultural and art events in the fields of music, theatre, and creative arts as well as a cinema festival held at every autumn.

Antalya Region Excursions:

Pamukkale (1 day tour)
PAMUKKALE “Cotton Castle”, once known as HIERAPOLIS, is famous for healing thermal/ mineral baths and beautiful snow-white “petrified waterfalls”. After lunch, visit HIERAPOLIS, including the magnificently preserved Necropolis, the Main Street and Gates, the Thermal Baths, the Devil’s Hole, and the masterpiece Theatre. Swimming or a therapeutic bath in a hotel pool’s hot spring mineral waters.

Perge & Aspendos
Full day excursion to the ancient Pamphylian cities of PERGE (which dates back to 1000 BC and where St. Paul preached his first sermons), and ASPENDOS (with it’s the well preserved 15,000-seat theatre famous for its excellent acoustics).

Antalya City (Half Day)
Visit the lower Duden waterfalls cascading over a cliff into the Mediterranean. Return to Antalya, to visit the award-winning Museum, the Hadrian’s Gate, and the City Walls. You have opportunity of to make shopping in Antalya and exquisite shops.

Manavgat Boat Tour
With a wooden boat, typical for this area, you will sail to the delta of the river where you can also swim. The riding goes approx.2-hours. Experience the marvellous green of the landscape. Sometimes you can also see water turtles. At the end, you visit the Manavgat waterfalls.

Kemer Boat Tour
A restful day with a wooden ship along the coast. Experience the beautiful Turquoise Turkish coast. On the way you can swim in marvellous bays with crystal-clear water and to explore the underwater world with snorkel.

Rafting
Journey begins at Koprulu Canyon in Beskonak. With a practiced boat leader and a secure rubber boat it goes approx. 12 km down on the big river. Over stones and rapids all participants must "paddle" well so that you and the boat come well down the river. A unique adventurous day.

Jeep Safari
Jeep Safari in the Taurus Mountains lasts approximately for 8 hours. You will experience the ultimate excitement while traversing the uneven terrains of the Taurus Mountains in a 4×4 Jeep. This trip to the mountains will take you to the nearby local villages as well where you will come close to the local nomadic culture of Turkey.

Demre – Myra
An excursion to discover the beautiful shores of the Turquoise Coast including the visit of outstanding natural and archeological sites of Lycia. Drive to the ancient city of Myra where the best examples of Lycian rock-cut tombs that overlook the Roman theatre can be seen. At Demre, where the legend of Santa Claus began, visit the Church of St Nicholas built over the tomb of the martyred saint who was bishop of Myra. After lunch, (if weather conditions permit) motorboat ride to Kekova Bay to explore the ruins of the Sunken City in the crystalline waters, and the Lycian sarcophagi of Simena, one of which emerging from the sea has become the symbol of pretty Kalekoy village.

Cappadocia (2 days tour)
Cappadocia , where the wind and weather have eroded soft volcanic rocks to form one of the most interesting landscapes in the world. Visit the valley of Goreme open air museum and Kaymakli, a vast underground complex of entire communities interconnected by tunnels which were hiding places of Christians The citadel of Uchisar overlooking Goreme’s petrified valley is well worth a visit as well. On the way back to Antalya, visit of Sultanhani Caravanserai on old Silk Road dating back to Seljuks.

Bodrum’s position in or near so many of the great civilization makes Halicarnassus (Bodrum's Ancient name) an important site for historians. The most prominent feature of Bodrum must be the Castle of St. Peter. Whether entering the town by land or sea, one cannot help but be struck by the Castle's sturdy presence. One of the world's best preserved monuments from medieval times, it stands as a solid testament to the Bodrum area as a place worth defending. The Castle's origins go back to the Knights of St. John, a group of expatriates who drew their ranks from Europe. Caunos, The Ancient Carian City, located east of Bodrum near the fishing village of Dalyan is a must for visitors.

Marmaris is a large tourism resort where the green of pine forests meets the blue of the Mediterranean Sea. With accommodation facilities starting from small, quiet pensions to big holiday villages and 5 star hotels; restaurants offering from Chinese, French, Hindu, Italian food to traditional Turkish cuisine Marmaris is a resort where swimming is possible in the secluded bays as well as in front of the hotels in the city centre.

Marmaris’ old name is Physkos. It developed as a harbor city of Caria. Not much has reached our day from the ancient city. One of the most remarkable buildings is Marmaris Fort built by Sultan Süleyman (the Magnificient) on his return from the Rhodes campaign in 1522. Marmaris is the center of the Blue Cruise; the harbour hosts elegant yachts on daily and weekly boat tours.
