Enormous blocks of marble were transported from as far as the Marmara islands for the construction and ornamentation of its imposing buildings. After lunch continue to Side, an ancient Turkish harbor that has made a graceful transition into a lovely resort village. Discover the products of this small Turkish village. At lunch, you will taste different turkish dishes with fresh seasonal vegetables. After lunch, visit the Ethnographical and Archaeological museums. Our final visit in Bergama is to the red basilica which was an Egyptian temple, later converted to a church in the 1st century. Priene - Miletos - Didyma - Bodrum Departure for Bodrum. Visit Priene, which is a well preserved ancient greek city. Then see Miletos which has a beautiful greco-roman theater where St. Paul gave a speech to spread christianity in the 1st century. Proceed to Didyma to see the temple of Apollo , famous for its oracle. Lunch at a local restaurant in Didyma, then continue to Bodrum for dinner and overnight. Bodrum is famous for its night-life. Many shops, bars, cafes, and restaurants are open until the small hours of the morning. After dinner, we will have a short walk in the city. Overnight in Bodrum. |

Bodrum Our first visit is to the antique theater in Bodrum overlooking Bodrum Marina. Then we visit the Mausoleum, the tomb of King Mausoleus, which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and the famous Bodrum castle , built by the crusaders in the 15th century. In Bodrum Castle , we will first visit the underwater archaeology museum which is one of the largest in the world. We will have a late lunch in a typical small Turkish village, and observe their relaxed lifestyle. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. |

Aphrodisias - Pamukkale Drive to Aphrodisias, the city of Aphrodite or Venus, the goddess of love. The archaeologists named the city Aphrodisias because they found so many statues of her here. We will see the stadium which seated 35,000 people and is the most well-preserved in the world, the Hadrian baths, the theater, the agora and the Archaeological Museum where many Aphrodite statues are on display. Continue to Pamukkale, the Cotton Castle . See the white travertine's formed by underground hot water springs. This water contains many minerals including calcium. The calcium deposits formed the white Pamukkale hill over thousands of years. The city of Hierapolis in Pamukkale was a spa center during the roman period. There are still tourists coming to Pamukkale for its hot spring waters. Dinner at the hotel. |

Pamukkale - Konya Departure for Konya. Visit Konya Mevlana Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, see the Karatay tile museum and the Medrese which was one of the first universities of the Ottoman Empire. Then visit the local craftsmen such as felt makers and horse carriage decorators. Check-in to our first hotel for dinner and overnight. |

Konya - Cappadocia Drive to Cappadocia . Visit the 13th century Sultan Hani Caravanserail en route, enjoy Turkish tea in an authentic atmosphere. Lunch at a local restaurant in Cappadocia . Afternoon sightseeing in Cappadocia . As a result of two explosions, the area was covered with volcanic matter to a height of 100 yards. As it was easy to carve these volcanic stones, local people built underground cities and cave churches in Cappadocia. In the afternoon, we will visit the 10th century underground city of Kaymakli. Visit the Seljuk period Agzikarahan Caravansarai, located on the ancient silk road. Continue Cappadocia for dinner and overnight. |
2. Day | Full day tour of Cappadocia including the visits of Goreme open-air museum, the natural citadel, the pigeon valley, the pottery town of Avanos, after lunch an observation of carpet weaving at one of the workshops. Dinner and overnight. |
3. Day | After breakfast, proceed to visit the underground city of Kaymakli or Ozkonak (built by the early christian to evade invading armies). Then proceed to Ankara, transfer to the hotel or airport. |
