Visit the royal Topkapi Palace, home of the Ottoman sultans, the Blue Mosque, unique with six minarets, the Roman Hippodrome square and the St.Sophia church which is considered one of the world’s greatest architectural marvels. 3. Day	Istanbul - Troy - Canakkale Drive to Gallipoli, through the European lands of Turkey. Cross the Dardanelles strait by ferryboat. Visit ancient Troy, see its legendary walls and the replica of the wooden horse. Dinner and overnight in Canakkale.
4. Day	Pergamon - Izmir Drive to Bergama. Visit the acropolis, the steepest theater of the ancient world, the temple of Trojan and library. Lunch at a local restaurant. 6. Day	Sardes - Pamukkale Drive to Sardes capital of ancient Lydia. Visit the temple of Cybele which later became a church, the famous synagogue from the third century, the gymnasium and the new excavation area. See the golden river Pactalos. Lunch en route. Proceed to Pamukkale for dinner and overnight.
7. Day	Hierapolis - Aphrodisias - Antalya Morning tour of Pamukkale, noted ancient spa, where pure white travertines form frozen waterfalls. Observation of carpet weaving at one of the local workshops. Drive to Aphrodisias, the city of the goddess of love, see the well preserved stadium, the odeon, the theater and the agora. Continue to Antalya for dinner and overnight.
8. Day	Antalya Full day excursion to the ancient pamphylian, hellenistic and roman cities of Perge and Aspendos, visit the award winning Antalya Archaeological Museum. Dinner and overnight.
9. Day	Antalya - Konya - Cappadocia Early departure to Konya. Visit the Mevlana Museum, 13th century whirling dervish monastery. After lunch continue to Cappadocia where nature has scoured surrealistic moonscape shapes and where the persecuted christians dug underground cities and churches during the 9th century. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. Optional folk and belly dance show.
10. Day	Cappadocia Full day Cappadocia visit, including Goreme open air museum, Avanos the pottery making town, the natural citadel of Uchisar and the underground city of Kaymakli. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
11. Day	Cappadocia - Ankara Sightseeing in the morning. After lunch, visit the Agzikarahan Caravanserai from the Seljuk period. Drive to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, via salt lake. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Ankara.
12. Day	Ankara - Bursa Visit the Anatolian Civilization Museum and the Mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk in Ankara. Drive to Bursa. Dinner and overnight.

2. Day	Istanbul Visit the Kariye Museum (St. Chora church) famous for its Byzantine mosaics and frescoes, the Topkapi Palace, home of the Ottoman rulers for 400 years. It is now a museum housing a world renowned collection of jewelry and porcelain. After lunch visit the 6th century Hagia Sophia built by the emperor Justinian to be the grandest church of christianity, now a museum.
3. Day	Istanbul - Ankara Morning visit to the Mosaic Museum with its exquisite scenes of rural life, then the Hippodrome Square and the famous Covered Bazaar. Afternoon flight to Ankara for dinner and overnight.
4. Day	Bogazkale - Yazilikaya - Ankara Morning departure for the center of the Hittite era. Visit Bogazkale (Hattusas) which is known as the city of temples. See the kings gate, the lions gate, the tunnel, great citadel, grand temple and the museum. Also see the ancient site of Yazilikaya (inscribed rock), close to Bogazkale. This is the most famous of the Hittite rock monuments. Here there is also an open air pantheon. Reliefs of Hittite gods and goddesses adorn the walls. These are carved into the native rock and date back to the 13th century bc. Return to Ankara for overnight.
5. Day	Ankara - Cappadocia Morning departure for Cappadocia , where the wind and weather have eroded soft volcanic rock to form one of the most interesting landscapes in the world. Visit the valleys of Goreme and Zelve and the villages of Cavusin and Avcilar. This area dates back to 4000 bc. Christians dug underground cities and churches here. Dinner and overnight in Nevsehir.
6. Day	Cappadocia Visit Kaymakli, a vast underground complex of entire communities interconnected by tunnels, discovered accidentally in 1963 and the citadel of Uchisar overlooking Goreme’s petrified valley. Visit Avanos, the pottery makers village.
7. Day	Cappadocia - Konya - Antalya Drive to Konya, visit the Mevlana Museum, and the Karatay Medrese (religious school). Dinner and overnight in Antalya.
8. Day	Antalya A full day is devoted to the striking greco-roman archaeological sites along the Turkish Riviera. Stop first at Perge, a wealthy and culturally well-developed city in ancient times. A few miles away is Aspendos, where the prosperity this city experienced in the second and third centuries a.d. is still visible. Enormous blocks of marble were transported from as far as the Marmara islands for the construction and ornamentation of its imposing buildings. After lunch continue to Side, an ancient Turkish harbor that has made a graceful transition into a lovely resort village. Its present popularity is due not only to its new resort atmosphere, but also to the many archaeological ruins.
9. Day	Antalya - Termessos - Pamukkale Visit Termessos, the roman city located on top of the Taurus mountains, then drive to Pamukkale to visit Hierapolis, its theater, the necropolis and the Archaeological Museum.
10. Day	Aphrodisias - Kusadasi Drive to Aphrodisias, the recently excavated roman city dedicated to the goddess of love, Aphrodite. See the Hadrian baths, the well preserved stadium, the theater, the agora and the beautiful archaeological museum containing the best Aphrodite statues in Anatolia . Continue to Kusadasi for dinner and overnight.
11. Day	Ephesus - Izmir ( Smyrna ) Leave for Ephesus . Visit the shrine of the Virgin Mary where she supposedly spent her later days. Proceed to Ephesus and see the spectacular ruins from the period of St. Paul, some of which are only recently excavated. See the odeon, the bouleterion, the fountains, the temples, the brothel, the library, the agoras, the great theater, the roman baths, the gymnasiums, the Archaeological Museum, St. Johns basilica and his tomb and the temple of Artemis (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world). Continue to Izmir for dinner and overnight.
12. Day	Sardis - Pergamon - Ayvalik Drive to sardes, the capital of ancient Lydia. Visit the temple of Cybele and Diana (Artemis) which became one of the seven churches of the revelation later on. See the golden river, Pactalos, and the royal road . Then visit the reconstructed synagogue, the gymnasium and the new excavation area. Proceed to Pergamon’s Acropolis to see the steepest theater of the ancient world, the temple of Trojan, then visit the Asclepion, the ancient hospital. Dinner and overnight in Ayvalik.
13. Day	Troy - Gallipoli - Istanbul Drive to Homer’s legendary Troy, famous for its wooden horse. Archaeological digs have proved that there were nine separate periods of settlement in Troy. Cross the Dardanelles by car-ferry, drive to Istanbul for dinner and overnight.
14. Day	Istanbul Visit the Archaeological Museum containing the greatest treasures of Greek and Roman antiquities discovered in Turkey, the Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii), everyone's favorite with its six minarets and blue Iznik tiles, and the underground cistern. We take an afternoon boat tour which takes us along both the European and Asian shores of the Bosphorus. Farewell dinner.

1. Day	Izmir Airport Meet and transfer to hotel. Sightseeing in Izmir. Visit the Old Elevator and Dareo Moreno street. Then walk on Kordon street along the seaside; a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the bay of Izmir. Dinner at a local restaurant. Return to hotel for overnight.
2. Day	Pergamon - Izmir Leave for Pergamon to the north of Izmir. First, visit the Asclepion. Learn its ancient healing techniques. Then visit the Acropolis with the steepest theater of the ancient world and the temple of Trojan. Possibility to visit the weekly open air Bergama market. Discover the products of this small Turkish village. At lunch, you will taste different turkish dishes with fresh seasonal vegetables. After lunch, visit the Ethnographical and Archaeological museums. Our final visit in Bergama is to the red basilica which was an Egyptian temple, later converted to a church in the 1st century. It is also considered one of the seven churches of the revelation. Return to hotel. Free in the afternoon.
3. Day	Ephesus - Kusadasi After breakfast drive to Selcuk. We will visit the House of the Virgin Mary on mount Pion, and light a candle. Then visit Ephesus, the most famous ancient roman city in Turkey, maybe in the world. See the Odeon, the temple of Hadrian, the Celsus library, the marble street, the great theater and the harbour road. Lunch at a local restaurant in the early afternoon. After lunch, visit the Archaeological Museum of Ephesus. Dinner at our hotel in Kusadasi.
4. Day	Priene - Miletos - Didyma - Bodrum Departure for Bodrum. Visit Priene, which is a well preserved ancient greek city. Then see Miletos which has a beautiful greco-roman theater where St. Paul gave a speech to spread christianity in the 1st century. Proceed to Didyma to see the temple of Apollo , famous for its oracle. Lunch at a local restaurant in Didyma, then continue to Bodrum for dinner and overnight. Bodrum is famous for its night-life. Many shops, bars, cafes, and restaurants are open until the small hours of the morning. After dinner, we will have a short walk in the city. Overnight in Bodrum.
5. Day	Bodrum Our first visit is to the antique theater in Bodrum overlooking Bodrum Marina. Then we visit the Mausoleum, the tomb of King Mausoleus, which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and the famous Bodrum castle , built by the crusaders in the 15th century. In Bodrum Castle , we will first visit the underwater archaeology museum which is one of the largest in the world. We will have a late lunch in a typical small Turkish village, and observe their relaxed lifestyle. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
6. Day	Aphrodisias - Pamukkale Drive to Aphrodisias, the city of Aphrodite or Venus, the goddess of love. The archaeologists named the city Aphrodisias because they found so many statues of her here. We will see the stadium which seated 35,000 people and is the most well-preserved in the world, the Hadrian baths, the theater, the agora and the Archaeological Museum where many Aphrodite statues are on display. Continue to Pamukkale, the Cotton Castle . See the white travertine's formed by underground hot water springs. This water contains many minerals including calcium. The calcium deposits formed the white Pamukkale hill over thousands of years. The city of Hierapolis in Pamukkale was a spa center during the roman period. There are still tourists coming to Pamukkale for its hot spring waters. Dinner at the hotel.
7. Day	Pamukkale - Konya Departure for Konya. Visit Konya Mevlana Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, see the Karatay tile museum and the Medrese which was one of the first universities of the Ottoman Empire. Then visit the local craftsmen such as felt makers and horse carriage decorators. Check-in to our first hotel for dinner and overnight.
8. Day	Konya - Cappadocia Drive to Cappadocia . Visit the 13th century Sultan Hani Caravanserail en route, enjoy Turkish tea in an authentic atmosphere. Lunch at a local restaurant in Cappadocia . Afternoon sightseeing in Cappadocia . As a result of two explosions, the area was covered with volcanic matter to a height of 100 yards. As it was easy to carve these volcanic stones, local people built underground cities and cave churches in Cappadocia. In the afternoon, we will visit the 10th century underground city of Kaymakli. Dinner at hotel.
9. Day	Cappadocia After breakfast, we will visit Goreme open air museum and the citadel of Uchisar with lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit Avanos, the town of pottery makers. Then, we will visit a carpet manufacturing company, a private handicraft center supported by the government to keep the carpet manufacturing tradition alive in the Cappadocia area. Dinner
10. Day	Cappadocia - Istanbul Transfer to Kayseri Airport for the flight to Istanbul. Istanbul is the only city in the world spanning two continents. Check-in to hotel. Lunch at a city restaurant. After lunch, take a private boat trip cruising the Asian and European coastlines of Istanbul. Return to the hotel where your time is free until the evening. Dinner at a restaurant.

4. Day	Adiyaman - Nemrut Mountain - Adiyaman Drive to Nemrut Mountain . See the huge heads of gods (apollo, zeus, hercules) and goddess (tyche=fortuna) built by Antiochus I, king of the Commagene Kingdom in the 1st century, and the artificial man made hill, on top of the 2000 meters high mountain.
5. Day	Adiyaman - Diyarbakir Drive to Diyarbakir by crossing the Euphrates river. See the city walls, the market and Ulu Cami. Overnight in Diyarbakir.
6. Day	Diyarbakir - Van Drive to Van, situated on the shores of Lake Van, at 5,500 feet, one of the highest lakes in the world. Overnight in Van.
7. Day	Van Visit Cavustepe, Hosap Castle, reach Akdamar island by local boats, then visit the Castle of Van. Overnight in Van.
8. Day	Van - Dogubeyazit Drive to Dogubeyazit, the closest town to Mount Ararat. Visit the famous 18th century Ishak Pasha Palace, built on a high valley overlooking the caravan route. Overnight in Dogubeyazit.
9. Day	Dogubeyazit - Kars Drive to Kars . Visit Ani, the capital city of an Urartian state , and later of the Armenian Bagratid Kingdom from 953 to 1045 ad. Among the ruins of this ancient city there are eight churches, a convent and a citadel along with the main cathedral which has alternately been a church or a mosque.
10. Day	Kars - Erzurum Drive to Erzurum, the largest city in the Eastern Anatolia. Visit the Islamic monuments from Seljuk, Mongol and Ottoman eras. Overnight in Erzurum
11. Day	Erzurum - Rize - Trabzon Drive to Trabzon on the Black Sea coast. On the way, visit the tea production plant in Rize. Overnight in Trabzon.
12. Day	Trabzon Visit Hagia Sophia and Sumela Monastery which was well known and respected as a monastic center from the 4th century until 1923. Overnight in Trabzon.
13. Day	Trabzon - Istanbul Flight to Istanbul. Transfer to hotel. Free afternoon.

2. Day	Full day tour to the ancient city of Ephesus . Visit the House of the Virgin Mary, and then the basilica of St. John who accompanied the Virgin Mary to Ephesus, the Celsius library, the marble paved arcadian road, the brothel, the roman baths, the theater where St. Paul preached, the temple of Artemis (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world), and see the statue of Ephesian Artemis while touring the Archeological Museum of Ephesus in Selcuk. Return for overnight to Izmir.
3. Day	Departure to Pergamon to visit the Acropolis in the city built on four terraces perched upon a hill, overlooking the Bergama plain. Tour the steepest theater of the ancient world. Then visit the Asclepion, the famous ancient medical center dedicated to Asclepion, the god of health and medicine, and the Archaeological Museum in Pergamon. Return for overnight to Izmir.

2. Day	Full day tour of Cappadocia including the visits of Goreme open-air museum, the natural citadel, the pigeon valley, the pottery town of Avanos, after lunch an observation of carpet weaving at one of the workshops. Dinner and overnight.
3. Day	After breakfast, proceed to visit the underground city of Kaymakli or Ozkonak (built by the early christian to evade invading armies). Then proceed to Ankara, transfer to the hotel or airport.
